He was predeceased by: his parents, Finley Segars and Leslie Deas; his daughter Leslie "Coby" Chubb; and his siblings, Tony Segars, Jack Segars, Beverly Hudson, Monty Segars and Joyce Hudson.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Segars; his children, Michael Segars (Joy) and Charleen Segars-Smith (Jeff); his grandchildren, Jennifer Swanson (Tyson), Thomas Chubb (Amanda), Taylor Chubb and Samantha Chubb; his great grandchildren, Kaden Segars, Nevaeh Swanson, Haven Swanson, Waylon Chubb and Harper Chubb; and also David Chubb. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cathedral of Praise (3790 Ashley Phosphate Rd, North Charleston, SC 29418). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at the Plantation Memorial Gardens (3345 S Live Oak Dr, Moncks Corner, SC 29461).
