It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dannie Leroy Grimes of Summerville, South Carolina, born in Garfield, Georgia, who passed away on August 29, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Louise Fullwood Grimes; his parents, Sam Grimes and Etta Mae Proctor Grimes; his son Michael; and his siblings, Darriel (Uncle Bud), Dorothy, Trauby and Genell.
He is survived by: his children, Nicholas Grimes (Chris) of Summerville, SC and Cheryl R. Grimes (Paige) of Murrells Inlet, SC; his grandsons, Donald Nicholas Grimes II (Emili) of Lake Wylie, SC, Daniel of Summerville, SC and Justin; and his great grandchild Frannie.
