With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Curtiss Vincent Sumner of Summerville, South Carolina, born in Carbondale, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 15, 2024 at the age of 47. He is survived by: his son Vincent Sumner; his mother Cheri Godwin (King); his siblings, Christine Williams (Donnie), Kiersten Tolbert, Ebony Wheaton, Makenzie Sumner and Phillip Godwin (Alicia); his sons, Scotty and Jaycen; his father Curtiss Sumner (Consetta); his aunt Clara Holmes; and his nieces and nephews, Devin Tolbert, Deandre Williams (Tareva), Darius Williams, Terry Williams, Damion Godwin, Kayona Williams, Rasheena Delaney (Kyle), Candice Williams, Kierra Godwin and Kaylee Godwin. He is also survived by two grandnephews, and a host of cousins, uncles and other relatives and friends.
