Clodis Mellard Brown Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Clodis Mellard Brown of Summerville, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene S. Mellard and Rubye C. Mellard; her husband Burnett Brown; her son Murrett Brown; her siblings, Eugene S. Mellard Jr. and Doris G. Hall; her son-in-law Lamar Otting; and her brother-in-law Salvatore Marino.
She is survived by: her daughter Melanie Otting (Brent) of Summerville; her brother David Mellard of Atlanta, GA; her grandchildren, Brandon Brown, Cody Brown of Summerville and Lacy Blewer (Cody) of Cottageville; her great grandchildren, Trace Tumbleston of Cottageville, Marlee Tumbleston of Cottageville and Sebastian Blewer of Cottageville; and her pets, Pearl Grace and Skeeda.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Parks Funeral Home (130 W 1st N St, Summerville, SC 29483). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the First Baptist Church of Jedburg (121 Brewer Rd, Summerville, SC 29483).
