With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jack Stanley Evans (Summerton, South Carolina), born in Coward, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 8, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Thelma Lee Miles Evans and Luther James Evans, Sr.; and his son Jack Slade Evans. He is survived by : his wife Julia Rachel Loy Evans; his daughter Sloan Evans Despeaux (John Michael) of Sylva, NC; his grandsons, Jack Evans of St. Louis, MO, Abel Despeaux of Sylva, NC and Angus Despeaux of Sylva, NC; and his brothers, Luther Evans (Lib) of Florence, Jeff Evans (Betty) of Florence and George Evans of Greer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Home of Jack & Rachel Evans (1346 Fowler Rd, Summerton, SC 29148). A reception was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Camp Happy Days, a camp for children with cancer held near their beloved lake home, http://www.camphappydays.org.
