He was predeceased by: his parents, Culbert Manning Hart and Charmion Louise Moseley; and his brother Culbert Hart, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Ball Hart; his children, Lisa Hart Hodgkiss (Kingman) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Thomas E. Hart, Jr. (Joni) of Isle; his brothers, Richard E. Hart (Anne) of James Island, SC and John M. Hart (Flora) of West Ashley, SC; his sister-in-law Margaret Hart of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and his grandchildren, Kingman Cory Hodgkiss (Sarah), Garrison McCray Hodgkiss (Ashley), Lily Claire Hart, Thomas Eugene Hart, III (Trey) and George Beckham Hart. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
