He is survived by: his son Herman Isaac Haupstein (Constance "Connie" Diane Cohen Haupstein); his parents, Herman and Connie of Sullivan's Island, SC; his brother Jason Haupstein (Michelle) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and his niece Evanna Haupstein. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles.
