He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Sylvester Crooks Jr. and Lillie Mae Young Crooks; his former wife Mildred Logan Crooks; and his daughter Sybil Merritt. He is survived by: his spouse Ovaline Westmoreland Crooks; his children, Woody Crooks (Judy), Connie McCullough (Rick) and Troy Crooks; and his sisters, Louise Grant and Geraldean Smith. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
