He was predeceased by: his siblings, Asyl, James and Sylvia; his son Kennedy; and his close friend Sarah Franklin.
He is survived by: his children, Sharyn Carter Hill, Scott Carter, Stephen Carter and Valery Tucker (Gary); and also Beth Morrone (Steve). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
