He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Scoville Phillips and Monnie Dane Rutland Phillips; and his former wife Joann Gleaton Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Debra Morris Phillips; his children, Richard E. Phillips (Beth), Robert I. Phillips (Donna) and Kim Wolfe (Eddie); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Vaughn (Ryan), Ryan Phillips (Laura), Shea Garland (Jamon), Brittney Garst (Kristen), Mark Emory Phillips (Stephanie), Allison Phillips Reed (Travis), Robert Mitchell Phillips (Ashleigh Vickery), Huntley Wolfe and JoJo Wolfe. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
