He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Walker Rutherford Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Nell Tarrant Able; his girlfriend Joanne Hinnant; his sons, Chris Jenkins, Joseph Rutherford, Jr. (Hannah) and Jonathan K. Rutherford; his grandchildren, Walker and Preslie; and his sisters, Rachel Rutherford Scurry (Robbie), Lisa Rutherford Locke (Dick) and Rebecca Rutherford Kenner (Tony). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
