She was predeceased by: her parents, Rhett L. Brown and Nellie Bailey Brown; her husband Charles Salley, Sr.; her daughter Sherry S. Cooper; her grandson Jonathan Shugerts; her great grandchild Robert Shugerts; and her siblings, Eloise Gleaton Beatty, Dessie Rea Brown Williams, Arthur, Harvey, Graddy and Rhett "R. L." Brown.

She is survived by: her children, Jennie S. Martin (Mackey) of Neeses, SC, Susan S. Edgemon (Jeff) of Salley, SC and Charles L. "C. L." Salley (Shirley) of Springfield, SC; her sisters, Jetter Gleaton and Nellie Rae Romanstine (Robert); and her grandchildren, Regina Chaudoin (T. J.), Roxane Wilson (Richard), Rustie Lynne Owens, Brock Salley (Emily), Cody Williams (Courtney) and Eric Cooper (Brooke). She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
