He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Gertrude Lopes Barnes and Lewis Clark Barnes; and his siblings, Donald Barnes, Audrey Leapline and Leora Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Betty W. Barnes; his children, Katharine Elliott, Lisa Cole and Douglas Barnes (Colette); and his sisters, Nancy Sanor (Ronald) and Bonnie Diglaw (James). He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Floyds Boiling Springs Chapel (4161 SC-9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
