He is survived by: his wife Gisela Maria Mezger (Woerner); his grandchildren, Lukas Waldemar Mezger, Liam Mezger, Hannah Terrell, Natalie Ashbaugh and Erich Terrell; his brothers, Dieter Mezger (Sigrid) and Klaus Mezger (Erika); and his cousin Rita Schmid. He is also survived by nieces and a nephew.
