It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tammy S. Mathis of Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on March 23, 2025, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Thelma Sherman (Eckard); her stepmother Wanda Wimer; her grandparents, Virgil, Louella Wimer, Alfred and Anna Mae Eckard; her brothers, James Allen Wimer and John Lee Wimer; and her nephew Corey Lofton.
She is survived by: her father Kermit Eugene Wimer of Maysville, WV; her husband Kenneth Mathis; her children, Terry Delawder, Jr. (Tammy) of Dorcas, WV, Monica K. Delawder (Bo) of South Carolina and Cayce Cooper of South Carolina, Six; her great grandchild Kolson; and her siblings, MaryAnn Evans of South Carolina, Linda Hedrick (Scott) of Petersburg, WV and Gary Wimer, Sr. (Donna) of Petersburg, WV. She is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home (11 N Main St, Petersburg, WV 26847). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
