He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Blanchard, Sr. and Marie Blanchard; and his brothers, Frank Blanchard, Harold Blanchard and Larry Blanchard.
He is survived by: his children, Silas "Shorty" Blanchard (Randi) of Spartanburg, Johnny Blanchard (Amy) of Woodruff, Mark, Billy Blanchard, Janice Neely (Tim) of Moore, Brenda Turner (Terry) of Moore, Kathy Blankenship (Steve) of Spartanburg and Tracy Miller of Moore; and his siblings, Choice Blanchard of Pacolet and Pearl Harrison of Spartanburg. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
