In the sacred silence of farewell, Roy is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Roy's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his brother K. D. McKinney. He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth S. McKinney; his siblings, Barbara S. Rushen and Tommy "Wewant" McKinney of Mint Hill, NC.; and his close friends, Johnny Walker (Sandy) and Creek.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Johnny Walker's Burnt Mills (422 Burnt Mill Rd, Blacksburg, SC 29702).
