With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Blane Gilbert of Spartanburg, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2024 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. Gilbert and Barbara N. Gilbert; and his brother Barry Gilbert. He is survived by: his children, Casey Vaughan (Andy) and Chase Gilbert; his stepdaughters, Melody Hood (Jamie) and Helen Bailey; his brother Bruce Gilbert; and his grandchildren, Madison (Chase), Logan, Robbie, Brittany, Heather, Tony and Jamie.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home (690 Southport Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Dunbar Funeral Home (690 Southport Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376).
