With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Minnie P. Whitt of Spartanburg, South Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Minnie left this world on February 6, 2025 at the age of 98, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stonewall Jackson Phillips and Bernice Ellison Phillips; her former husband James Claude Whitt; her husband Kenneth Bishop; her son John R. Whitt; and her brothers, John and Jack Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, James C. Whitt (Kim) and Julia Merrell (Eddie); her sister-in-law Margie Tate; and her daughter-in-law Pam Whitt. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel (2075 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ben Avon United Methodist Church for special projects at 2360 Avondale Dr, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
