He was predeceased by : his parents, Herschel Keeling and Esther Keeling; his in-laws, George and Peggy Mickle; and his brothers, Gerald Keeling and J. D. Keeling.

He is survived by : his wife Malinda Mickle Keeling; his sons, Scott Keeling of Pittsburgh, PA and Jeff Keeling (Cindy) of Boiling Springs, SC.; his grandchildren, Brad Keeling (Julie), Tanner Keeling (Brandi), Luke Keeling and Emma Keeling; and his siblings, C. V. Keeling and Lucille Booe.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Beaumont Baptist Church (945 Beaumont Ave, Spartanburg, SC 29303). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens- Spartanburg (1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307).
