With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret B. Fleck in Spartanburg, South Carolina, born in New York, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 8, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard McNamara and Margaret O'Shea McNamara; her sister Marie Toner; her husband Richard Danfy; and her former husband Alphonse R. Fleck.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Richard Danfy, Jr. (Jean), Lisa Francis (Melton), Patricia Epting (Carrol), Charlotte Fleck (Stevan Arbona), Kenneth Danfy, Peter Danfy, Andrew Danfy and Arthur Danfy; her children, Scott and Susan Gammons; her grandchildren, John Epting (Brittany), Philip Epting (Ashley), Erin Danfy, Erica Francis, Emily Fedro (Greg), Aidan Arbona and Christine Overcarsh (Bryan); and her great grandchildren, Scarlett, Walker, Theodore, Ian, Charles and Emmet.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel (2075 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307). A rosary was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church (2575 Reidville Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29301). A reception was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens- Spartanburg (1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307).
