She was predeceased by: her son Bertram McDowell; her granddaughter Alison Ridings; her sons-in-law, Buford Ridings and Herbert Hughes; and her siblings, Howard Turner, Tom Turner, Pete Turner, Belton Turner, Mildred Horton and Ann Sherbert.

She is survived by: her parent Mamie Swofford Turner; her daughters, Alice Ridings and Wanda Hughes of Boiling Springs; her sister Clara Drake of Chesnee; her grandchildren, Eric Ridings (Lucretia), Ginger Hunter (Roger) and Denise Rider (Lee); her great grandchildren, Kristen McCollum (Michael), Jacob Ridings, Halie Ridings, Kaitlyn Ridings, Jenna Hunter, Peyton Hunter and Aaron Rider; and her great great grandchildren, Olivia and Silver McCollum.
