He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Kumfer Harris and Harold McBride. He is survived by: his children, Jodie Walker (Steve) of Campobello, Jackie McBride of Boiling Springs, Joni Adams of Spartanburg, Janie Swink of Duncan and John Louis McBride Jr. of Alaska. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the United Church (9020 Asheville Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29316). The military honors was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Memorial Park (4164 SC-9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316).
