He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Dean "JD" Simmons, Jr. and Margaret Martha "Peggy" Dunn Simmons. He is survived by: his sister Brenda Simmons Beason (John) of Crouse, NC; his nieces and nephews, Melissa Beason Vacek (Greg) of Concord, NC, Allison Beason Harris (Kevin) of Harrisburg, NC, Aaron Beason of Washington, DC and Adam Beason (Mandy) of Dallas, TX; and his stepbrother Wally Gregory. He is also survived by six great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home & Crematory (690 Southport Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Fairforest Baptist Church (117 Church St, Spartanburg, SC 29301).
