He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred L Jacobs and James A Jacobs, Sr.; and his sisters, Audrey Snipes, Edith Davis and Joyce Hunt.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Pierce Jacobs; his sons, Torrey (Tracy) and Patrick (Erica); his grandchildren, Hallie Worrell (Nick), Maddie Jacobs, Hayden Jacobs (Keira) of Charleston and Garrett Jacobs of Spartanburg; his great grandchild Josiah Jacobs of Charleston; and his brother Ron Jacobs (Cecy) of Spartanburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
