She was predeceased by: her parents, Saraswathi Hedge (Sunanda Shenoy) and Gopalkrishna Hedge; her son Anil Vaman "Shan" Shanbhag; and her granddaughter Vivian Allise Lewis. She is survived by: her spouse Vaman Shanbhag; her children, Nikhil Shanbhag, Akhil Shanbhag (Kristin Breanna Collins) and Pallavi Lewis (Patrick Lewis); and her grandchildren, Neel Shanbhag, Vivian Grace Lewis and Anil Gabriel Lewis. She is also survived by four sisters and two brothers.
