With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary N Hamrick of Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on March 24, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Norris Hamrick and Georgia Hamrick of Spindale, NC; his wives, Jama Sue and Peggy; his siblings, Broma Jean Harrigan, Hugh, Miles and Wyman Hamrick; his daughter Jeanisa Moore; and his stepdaughter Judith Smith.
He is survived by: his sister Gail Britt; his children, Greg (Amy) and Jackie Smith (Bobby); his stepchildren, Keith, Tim (Jane) and Alisa Haithcock (Greg); his grandchildren, Kimerli Jones (Richard), Jama Sanford (Travis), Kelli Foster (Tyler), Matthew Hamrick, Melody Fletcher (Jeff), Erica DeHart, Kyle Martin (Kimberly), Hunter Haithcock, Colby Hamrick (Karley) and Tyman Hamrick (Taylor); his great grandchildren, Olivia, Austin Smith, Reese, Landon Foster, Audrey, Josephine Sanford, Colton DeHart, Nathan, River, Eli Martin, Annalisa, Adalee Fletcher, Ellie Hamrick and Declan Hamrick; and also, Peggy Gowens, Elizabeth Harrigan Crawford and Daniel Harrigan of Japan.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Hamrick requested donations in his memory to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Bus Fund, 842 Mt. Zion Road, Spartanburg, SOuth Carolina 29303.
