He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Lay Gowan; his son Kurt Gowan; his sisters, Kelley Rimer (Johnny) and Kris Adams (Mark); his nieces and nephews, Nicholas Rimer, Leslie Rimer, Lauren Adams O'dell and Jonathon Adams; his great-nephew Hudson O'dell; his mother-in-law Shirly "Nana" Lay; his brother-in-law Doug Lay (Carrie); his nieces, Emily Lay and Anna Lay; and his nephew John Thomas Lay.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Living Waters Funeral Home and Crematory (529 Spartanburg Hwy S, Lyman, SC 29365). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
