He was predeceased by: his wife Milta Torres; and his son Ricky Torres. He is survived by: his children, Daisy Oquendo (Ramon), Belinda Oquendo (Edwin Sr.) and David Torres; his grandchildren, Edwin Oquendo Jr. (Lori), Daniel Oquendo (Theresa), Krystal Ortiz (Daniel), Jessica Oquendo, Jonathan Schiavo (Amanda), Rebecca Oquendo, David Torres, Penelope Torres, Diomedes Torres and Gabriel Torres; and his friend Belinda Oquendo. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Shiloh Memorial Cemetery (4040 New Cut Rd, Inman, SC 29349).
