He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur McMurray Erwin and Wilma Maddox Erwin; his brother John Kenneth Erwin; his close friend Kitt Harley Papadea; and his grandchildren, Evan Roughton, William Roughton, Zion Yates and Ryder Yates.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah Miles Erwin and Katie Erwin Yates (Joel); his sisters, Corky Erwin Harper and Molly McGee Anderson (Bubber Hutto); his nephews, Jake (Lydia Brandt), Nathan (Emory), Alex Erwin (Martha Cloud), Joe, Keith (Lauren Kelly) and Carl (Ciara); and his niece Emily Anderson (Nick Masoner).
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (393 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29302).
