He is survived by: his parents, William "Bill" L. Sumner, Sr. and Martha Blackman Sumner; his son Ray Sumner of Darlington; his grandchildren, Sarah Sumner, Camryn Sumner and Kloe Sumner; and his siblings, Tom Sumner of Darlington, Katie Blackwell (Paul) of Cheraw and Joye Kirven (Bubba) of Darlington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
