He was predeceased by: his parents, Mamie Hawkins and Willie "Bill" Hawkins; his siblings, Marguree Saliim, Dorothy Evans, Willie N. Hawkins and Eugene Hawkins; and his son Casey A. Hawkins.

He is survived by: his wife Bessie T. Hawkins; and his sons, Ladrone Coe of Darlington, SC and Roy Hawkins, Jr..
