He is survived by: his wife Edna Chapman; his daughters, Kim Chapman Johnston (Shafter) and Stacie Chapman Reed (Mike); his grandchildren, Shafter M. Johnston, III (Margaret), Colter Monroe Johnston, Chandler Lynn Johnston, Michael Christian Reed and Mary Weslyn Reed; his great grandchild Waylon Johnston; his siblings, Eliza, Walter Chapman (Mary), Dorothy Shepherd and Betty Lou West (Bill); and his son Jonathon.
