He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Lee Ruppe and Mary Ruby Carroll Howard; and his wife Barbara Potts Ruppe. He is survived by: his children, Nelson Lee Ruppe (Tracy), Misty Lane Smyrna (Jeff McDonald) and Christie Ruppe (Nina Vincent); his girlfriend Frances Seate of Smyrna, SC; his siblings, Charles Keith Ruppe of Kings Mountain, NC, Janet White Blacksburg (Jeff) and Melba; and his stepfather Nelson Howard (Lou).
