He was predeceased by: his wife Deborah Black Strickland; and his parents, Edwin Willis "Wick" Strickland and Mary Helen Robertson Strickland. He is survived by: his grandson Keegan; his daughters, Katherine Bennett of Mattoon, Denise Strickland of Columbia and Robin Strickland of Smoaks; his grandchildren, Alonzo Black, Emma Bennett and Stephen Bennett; and his sister Libby Lyons (William) of Smoaks. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
