She was predeceased by: her spouse Reverend Charles Grady Garris, Sr.; her parents, Jerome A. Sweatman, Sr. and Bessie Pearl Myers Sweatman; her son-in-law Steve Crosby; and her siblings, Jerome A. Sweatman, Jr., Quincy Sweatman and Barbara Cheslek.
She is survived by: her children, Diana Grossman (Jim) of West Columbia, Charles "Chuck" Garris of Sebastian, Gail Crosby of Mount Pleasant and Nancy Garris of Smoaks; her grandchildren, Curtis Fulmer (Muffy), David Garris, Erica Crosby and Hanna Crosby; and her great grandchild Merritt Fulmer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
