He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Cynthia Jackson (Ray) of Johnstown, Gwendolyn Lawton of Newark and Angel Kingsberry (Shawn) of Irvington; his godson Al Burt; his stepson Joseph Lawton; his adoptive son Terry Collins; his grandchildren, Aaron T. Maxwell, Alyson J'lyn Hogon of Miami, Zokwymere A. Lawton (Gia) of East Orange, Zy'onkwanazia T. Smith, Zy'onjadezia Z. Brown and Zy'odky (A. Brailoford); his great grandchild Ya'Zarrah A. Adams (Mommie); his brother Mckinley Stokes of Smoaks; and his sisters-in-law, Rosa Lawton of Walterboro, Pastor Helen Douglas and Margie Lawton of Islandton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
