He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard O'Dell, Sr. and Virginia Jean Schoonover O'Dell; his daughter Megan O'Dell; and his brothers, Roger O'Dell, Max Schoonover and Huey Wright.
He is survived by: his children, Otto O'Dell of Florida and Crystal Lynn of New York; his siblings, Terry Covell (Vanda), Forrest Wright (Annie), Billy Joe Wright (Samantha) and Marjorie Van Dusen; and his close friends, Freddy Myers and Gordon Green. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
