He was predeceased by: his wives, Queen Esther Haynes and Eartha Williams; and his sister Cherrye B. Mackey Jones. He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Shirley Mackey Chapman, Carol Mackey of St. George, Doris Mackey of Orlando, Carolyn Mackey of Savannah Georgia, Joseph W. Mackey, III (Valencia) of St. George and Anthony Gaston (Michelle) of Ridgeland; and his siblings-in-law, Onitha Snipes of Walterboro, Pearl Snipes of Smoaks and Joe Kinsey of Florida. He is also survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.
