It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn George Hunt of Smoaks, South Carolina, born in Bamberg, South Carolina, who passed away on August 31, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard Hunt; her parents, William Duncan George and Lessie Mae Carter George; and her son-in-law Ron Shoupe. She is survived by: her children, Duncan George Hunt (Cindy) of Walterboro and Billie George Shoupe of Walterboro; her grandchildren, Robin Shoupe Crosby (Bryan), Jennifer Hunt Craven (Will), Casey Shoupe (Leigh-Ann) and Duncan G. Hunt, II (Jamie); her great grandchildren, Kenleigh Crosby, Caden Crosby, MaKayla Craven, Colten Hunt, McKenzie Craven and Avery Shoupe; and her close friend Rev. Herbert Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to the following: The Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601; or to, Little Swamp United Methodist Church, 16438 Hunters Chapel Road, Smoaks South Carolina 29481.
