He is survived by: his sons, William "Billy" Lewis Burnett Jr., Darrell Andrew Burnett and Kevin Roy Burnett (Sherry); his grandchildren, Jennifer Burnett Nations (Charles), Nicole Burnett Hilley (Harold), Kayla Burnett Smith, Courtney Burnett Hopkins (Josh), William Burnett and Izabella Burnett; his great grandchildren, Summer Nations, Carson Nations, Haley Hilley, Chloe Hilley and Charleigh Iaquinto; his siblings, Joann Burnett Davis, Janet Burnett Clark and Richard Burnett (Teresa); and his close friends, Joe Glenn, Gary Bryson, Betty Goodnough, Rob Kent, Tom Jennings, Gene Franklin, Rick Pace, Buddy Staton, Roger Wilbanks and Wayne Smith.
