She was predeceased by: her parents, Grafton C. Collins and Eileen Claire Widner; and her siblings, Shirley Diane McGuire (Collins) and William David Collins. She is survived by: her husband Paul L. Carter Sr.; her children, Paul L. Carter Jr., William H. Carter and Treva J. Carter; her grandchildren, Zoey, Maia, Dalilah and Athenah; and her siblings, Amara K. Carberry (Collins), Anita Sharon Collins and Johnathan Ray Collins.
