He is survived by: his parent Mae Belle Godfrey; his daughters, Donna Godfrey, Cathy Bamji (Cyrus), Tracy Godfrey-O'Ree (Lloyd), Ann Shaleuly and Laura Stockdell (John); and his sister Alcie Ward. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
