She was predeceased by: her husband Maurice "Mo" Messier; her parents, Spurgeon Samuel Smith and Ada Fay Floyd Smith; her son Christopher Owens; and her siblings, Jerry Smith and Brenda Dunnigan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Rogers (Harvey) and Debbie Hill (Ben); her siblings, Rick Smith and Rhonda Borovicka; her grandchildren, Heather Rogers (Chad), Haley Rogers, Rebecca Rogers, Brittany Williams (Nathan) and Daniel Hill (Mikala); and her great grandchildren, Harper Rogers-Regenthal, Cyrus Rogers-Messinger, Gideon Marshall, Cotton Barton, Woodward Barton, Lee Williams, RoseEllen Williams and Emerson Hill.
