She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Vinson and Carrie Gaynell Hilton Waldrop; her children, Robert Hemphill and Genie Hartis; and her husbands, Eugene Hemphill and Calvin Helms.
She is survived by: her children, Beth Hemphill Coker (Neil), Larry Hemphill (Betsy) and Barry Hemphill (Teri); and her grandchildren, James Hartis (Susan), Jodie Dahlen, Paige Coker Rekers (Steven), Megan Coker Rekers (Andrew) and Joshua Coker. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and close friends.
