It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard D. Patterson of Simpsonville, South Carolina, born in Aurora, Illinois, who passed away on February 26, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Patterson and Bessie Metcalf Patterson. He is survived by: his children, Lois Ann Grill of Greenville, Nancy Lewis of Woodruff and Rev. John B. Patterson (Debra) of Woodruff; and his grandchildren, Sandi Wilson, Ruth Currin, Lois Lewis, Richard Lewis, John Patterson, Jr. and Kimbraly Patterson. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to: Cornerstone Baptist Church Building Fund, 8508 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615.
