He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Joseph Barton and Carrie Parsons Barton. He is survived by: his wife Pat Barton; his daughter Donna McCulloch; his grandchildren, Kris McCulloch and Kayla McCulloch Ferguson (Andrew); and his nephews, Durwood "Bo" Barton, Jr. (Donna), Shane Barton and Lance Barton.
