He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elford McGill and Mamie Sue Kuykendall McGill; and his siblings, Walter McGill, Fred McGill, Jack McGill, Bill McGill, Joe McGill, Gaynelle Brown, Juanita Fuller and Faye Chandler.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Chandler McGill; his daughters, Susan R. "Becky" Rawls (Blair), Gay McGill and Amy Turner (Brad); his sister Barbara McCulley; his sister-in-law Sandra McGill; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Parsons, Ike Parsons, Jason Turner, Alexis Turner, Levi Turner and Rachel Rawls; and his great grandchild Bryson Fowler.
