It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Ruehrwein Hirt of Simpsonville, South Carolina, born in Madison, Indiana, who passed away on May 25, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard H. Ruehrwein and Josephine Schuman Ruehrwein; and her sister Natalie Alexander. She is survived by: her sons, Paul Hirt (Rachel) of Greer, SC, Philip Hirt (Janet) of Simpsonville, SC and Patrick Hirt (Deborah) of Prior Lake, MN; her grandchildren, Shawn Hirt (Amber), Nicole Hirt Britt (Jeremy), Christopher Hirt (Yu), Katie Hirt, Kristine Hirt Boswell (Drew), Ryan Hirt, Nathan Hirt (McKenzie) and Jason Hirt (Jauntelle); her great grandchildren, Joshua Hirt, Emily Hirt and Benjamin Hirt; and her sister Joan R. Moorman.
