She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Eldrich Smith and Amanda Elizabeth Long Smith; her sisters, Edyce Smith, Marjorie Matthews, Erlette Smith, Lois Johnson, Delia Reynolds and Miriam Kalinowsky; and her son David Pinckney.
She is survived by: her sons, Frank Pinckney (Alison) and Van Pinckney (Rebecca); her daughter-in-law Melanie Pinckney Smith; her grandchildren, Brandy Hexamer (Nathan), Karmen Dennis (Chris), Ben Pinckney (Julia), Ian Pinckney (Jenna), Logan Hannu (Darryl), Damian Pinckney (Olivia), Palmer Pinckney (Brianna) and Haley Pinckney; and her caregivers, Cindy Powell and Debbie Cathcart. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
